Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip

And so the countdown begins! Who am I kidding, it's been ongoing for a while now but we are now at 4 days! Good god, how will I get through the weekend?

So don't you dare forget to set those DVRs, Tivos and and the old age, (like me) VCRS!

Monday September 18th, 2006 at 10 PM EST! Check your local listings!

Wowsers!

Its been a while since I last updated this bitch. LOL. Anyway, nothing really to talk about except I got accepted to Nascar Technical Institute and start in Oct. And I'm hella excited about the upcoming premiere of Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip, which most know when it starts, but in case, September 18th @ 10 PM EST on NBC. Check your local listings. :) Anyway, that about covers...oh wait...I had to sell my car (2005 Hyundia Accent) to get enrolled, so you think I'm dedicated??

My new favorite lines...

Matt Albie: "I'm three years younger and faster than you, old man!"
Danny Tripp: "I'm three years older and stronger than you, little boy!"

Ok, so I'm obsessing already of Aaron Sorkin's new hit! God, help me!

Been a while

Wow! I haven't writtten in here in a while. Anyway, TWW is over, T7S is over, it's all over, TV wise. Well not really I am looking forward to Studio 60 and until I get a new job, enjoy my tapes, dvds and live in the past. There's always NASCAR for me too. :) Did y'all see Topher Grace on MTV in the opening of the movie awards? He did the MI3 parody. So weird to see him play a villian of sorts. But get used to it. TG is in Spidey 3. Yes, yes. :)

It was all The West Wing all hour. (Well close) Anyway they started off with Allison Janney, Richard Schiff, Bradley Whitford and Martin Sheen. (Since the cast is so big they couldn't have them come out all at once.) The main subject was why they loved working with Allison. And how the guys always flirted with her.
The second group consist of Janel Moloney, and Dule Hill. Ellen asked Dule if he remembered his first episode. And how he felt being apart of the cast. Ellen asked Janel how the fans felt about Josh and Donna FINALLY hooking up. They had a cute moment when they looked at each other nodding their heads. Janel told everyone about this girl she met at the airport who was crying about Josh and Donna. Bradley made a comment after being asked if Donna and Josh were going to get married? Bradley "No, I think we're going to always sleep together." So then the third group came out. Jimmy Smits and Alan Alda. They were mainly asked about the debate and how Jimmy was very prepared. (In between all the segments they showed clips of past appearances and episode clips.) Then the final group was Mary McCormack, Joshua Malina and Kristin Chenoweth. They were basically asked how they got on the show and Mary was explaining how they just joined and weren't ready to leave yet. Josh said he found out that Rob Lowe (shout out) was thinking of leaving the show and dashed off an email to Aaron Sorkin. Saying he was interested and that they could 'hire a less talented, less good looking and willing to be paid much less money.' Kristin didn't really get to say anything so that was kind of bad. (They sat in two rows in order, Dule, Richard, Janel and Martin were up top.
Allison, Alan, Jimmy, Josh, Mary and Kristin bottom.) They showed clips of John Spencer on TWW and past appearances on Ellen. That was emotional. And Richard, Martin and Bradley seemed the most effected.
After commercial they did the one word game. To see how well they really knew each other.
1) Bradley says: big drinks, Dule says: flamingo and Kristin says: regal; which is Allison.

2) Dule says: forgetful, Kristin says: old school, Josh says: sweet; which is Martin.

3) Allison says: nutty, Janel says: hilarious, Kristin says: wrong, Josh says: untalented; which is Bradley. Everyone was pointing at Brad including himself. LOL.

4) Allison says: dare lick, Bradley says :unemployed, Richard says: funny; which is Josh. But the cast didn't even have to have Ellen finish they were laughing so hard at Bradley's comment. HAHA.

The next segment was charades. The players were Allison, Alan, and Jimmy.
Then the ending Ellen presented the audience with DVD's of season 5 and 6 of TWW. (Lucky bastards, lol!) And gave the cast bumper stickers. "Remember me from 'The West Wing?" The gifts didn't end there, she gave the cast all commemorative plates with pictures of each other them. And even though it was meant as a joke, Josh says "That's going right on ebay!"
Ellen came out with a table of cakes also with pictures of each cast member. And a big one with the White House.
Then came the fun stuff. HAHA!
Ending credits: They all gathered at the table looking at all the cakes. Jimmy was laughing and making hand gestures like he was saying 'let's throw cake at someone.' Bradley was laughing as was Janel. Dule was jumping up and down at whatever Jimmy was suggesting. Richard also showed hand gestures at the throwing of some cake at someone's face. Josh was missing from the scene at all this, he finally appears so Bradley captures him holding Josh's hands in place which moved backstage. While they were backstage Mary came to the table and took the cake (which I assume is Josh's cake.) from Richard's hands and ran backstage with it. The cameras follow and we saw that Josh was still being held at bay. Dule and Jimmy joined in to help Brad. Mary was holding the cake in one hand and fighting off Josh's kicks with the other. Dule was finally able to hold Josh's legs down and Janel and Allison were watching from a distance. Mary aimed the cake at Josh's face and Josh was holding his hands up to block it but wasn't completely successful as the cake does go flying, most of it landing on Josh. :) He was able to catch some of it in his hands and threw it back towards Brad, which he ducked out of the way and it hits Jimmy instead. The crowd goes nuts at all this! Josh was able to break free and held his finger up to the camera as to say "you got me once." (apparently he is the one always doing the jokes so now FINALLY they get him back. Karma.)
It was quite funny! :) If you get to see it or if you can find someone to tape it for you. It's worth it! It almost makes up for the canceled retrospective episode.

Well. That's a wrap!

Well seeing the title of the post. Can you tell where I am going with this? Yes, indeed the show has officially come to an end. And what I mean by that is it just wrapped production last night. *tear* I'm a little shell shocked as I was a week off of my guess. I thought there was one more week and so I'm a little emotional tonight. I also was caught off guard when I found out (today) that That '70s Show (another of my (used-to-be) favorites) wrapped as well. But back to the original, So long The West Wing. It was a priviledge to laugh, cry, shriek and go through all the emotions that you presented to us as fans. If you want to read about spoilers and also a story about the final day on the set of TWW go here...http://forums.televisionwithoutpity.com/index.php?showtopic=115020&st=6780

And the countdown starts

We are now in single digits for the episodes left of our favorite show, THE WEST WING! Start the clock now because there is only NINE left! And you will be happy to know that NBC will NOT have any breaks of airing. So I guess that is good. But I will miss this show deeply. I am also excited about the upcoming episodes even if it's one more day closer to the end. I can't even imagine what the cast is feeling as their days of filming are getting close to single digits too. :(

So here is my pre-goodbye speech.

TWW has gone through the best of times to the not so good times and everything in between but all in all this series was beyond a success with 24 Emmys and countless other nominations. We have been in presence of greatness when it comes to the top notch actors in the industry and brought them all together in one series. That's like catching lightening in a bottle. We'll never seen this kind of ensemble again. Every single person who has stepped foot on THE WEST WING set has the most incredible stories to share for a lifetime. I personally thank...
ROB LOWE, DULE HILL, STOCKARD CHANNING, ALAN ALDA, ALLISON JANNEY, JANEL MOLONEY, JOSHUA MALINA, MARY MCCORMACK, KRISTIN CHENOWETH, RICHARD SCHIFF, BRADLEY WHITFORD, MARTIN SHEEN, JIMMY SMITS, and It's unfair that we lost one of the hearts of the show so soon. JOHN SPENCER!

And THANKS to he many other talents that lit up our TV screen, to the many guest stars and recurring roles.

You have brought so many of us to our knees begging for more. You've kept us on the edge of the seats anticipating some moments. Forced us to use a few Kleenex along the way.

Whatever emotions we as fans went through, it was all worth it in the end.

Remaining schedule for our show.

Well since we know the show will end on May 14th with a two-hour finale, it is only a matter of math to find out all the air dates on the episodes. There are 10 episodes yet to be aired, + one. So here is my figuring of the schedule.

I'm guessing with a few of the episodes left...10 EPISODES + ONE.

Mar. 5 - #13 "The Cold"
Mar. 12 - #14 "Two Weeks Out"
Mar. 19 - #15 "Welcome To Wherever You Are"
Mar. 26 - #16, "Election Day", part one of the Leo tribute
Apr. 2 - #17, Which is part two and mostlikely the revealing of the president- elect. (Weirdly the articles state 4-2 and 4-9 being the dates of the Leo tribute but if they want to end the show on May 14th it has to be this, otherwise they have plans for a two episode in one week special that we don't know about.)
Apr. 9 - #18
April 16th is EASTER (No episode)
Apr. 23 - #19
Apr. 30 - #20
May 7 - #21
May 14 - #22 TWO-HOUR SERIES FINALE. :(

How I figure the show will open

in Election Day airing early April. I have no idea if I am even in close proximity of the writers ideas but I will give it a shot. However I will not guess the whole episode only the cold open.

Why am I doing this...I want to see how close I come therefore, instead of ulimately embarrassing myself I will only guess one segment. LOL.

*It will open to a ringing telephone, and the camera will be a bit out of focus till we see a hand grab at the receiver. Then we hear the famous voice, "Josh Lyman?" The camera will then focus on his face, features and he will go through a number of emotions at the conversation being had. No words will be heard, but as an audience we will know what is being said, as the face explains it all. He will change from shcoked to concerned, "How are you doing?" At that we will know it is either Margaret and Mallory on the other end. More listening and he hangs up the phone. He sits at his desk for a moment to compose himself. Rubs his hands threw his already disheveled hair. And gets up to inform the others. He walks into the room of Lou, Matt, Helen and Donna. Donna looks at Josh concerned, "Josh? What's wrong?" He will sigh and say, "I just got a call from Mallory...Leo had a heart attack last night...He didn't make it."
